Sarhul: Festival of Nature and New Year

Sarhul is a major festival of the Oraon, Munda, Ho and other Adivasi communities, celebrated in Chaitra when Sal trees blossom. The village Pahan worships at the Sarna sthal with Sal flowers, praying for prosperity and good rain. The whole village dances to the beat of the mandar and nagara.
